A Whirlwind Day in NYC!
Earlier this month, our owner/founder Kelly Carroll Burgin and our PR/Marketing Manager, Dianne Boyer flew to New York for pretty much a whirlwind 24 hours. This all stemmed from the invitation Kelly received to do a Facebook Live with Tory Johnson of Good Morning America’s Deals and Steals. We have been so fortunate to be featured on several of Tory’s segments that we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to go “live” with her. We’d like to share just a few of the behind the scenes moments with you.
After arriving the night before, we got up very early to head to Good Morning America to be a part of the live studio audience. It was so much fun to see the studio and to witness how organized and fast all the segments are planned, set-up and quickly re-configured to the next segment. Robin Roberts was so gracious after the show and took time to take pictures with everyone from the audience.
Next up was being in the audience for the new GMA Day with Michael Strahan and Sara Haines. This is a brand new show for ABC that debuted this fall and it was a fun show to watch and be a part of. The guest star that day was Marcus Scribner from TV’s Black-ish. Not to repeat ourselves, but also a fun experience!
Then we were on to the main event, heading to the ABC News studios for the Facebook Live with Tory Johnson for her Daily Deals. In case you were wondering, Tory is as nice and knowledgeable as she appears on TV. She truly cares about each product that she presents to her loyal viewers and we love being one of the brands that she features. It was great to be able to spend some time with her and get to know her a little bit better.
For the "Facebook Live", as part of Tory’s Daily Deals, we featured our Kristen and Gwen bags for a great price. That deal was only for 24 hours and has now expired, but you can still watch the segment here: Facebook Live Video
Tory Johnson's Daily Deals will continue into December and she continues to have deal segments on the following ABC shows: The View on Mondays, GMA Day on Tuesdays and Good Morning on Thursdays. Keep watching – you never know when we might show up on one of those segments again.
