One of the most enjoyable things we do at K. Carroll Accessories is naming all of our handbags after inspiring women. From the famous celebrities we admire to the strong women in our personal lives, when we name our bags after these amazing ladies, we channel their spirit in our work lives every day.
That’s why we are so excited to announce our brand new Gina satchel. The Gina bag is named for Gina Kell Spehn, who along with her husband Michael started the New Day Foundation for Families to help families cope with the emotional and financial burdens of cancer. They established the foundation in memory of their late spouses Matt Kell and Cathy Spehn, each of whom lost a valiant battle with cancer, leaving a total of five young children behind. The origins of New Day are told in their New York Times best selling memoir, "The Color of Rain", which also became a Hallmark original movie in 2014.

In designing the bag, Kelly decided the bag needed to not just reflect Gina’s personality, but to also incorporate the pillars of the New Day Foundation. Being offered in four colors represents the four pillars of New Day: Camel for Charity, Blue for Hope, Pink for Love, and Gray for Faith.
